Press conference: Signing of the Agreement between the State of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and the Consistoire Israélite of Luxembourg

The Government of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and the Jewish Community have reached an agreement on the unresolved issues relating to spoliations of Jewish property linked to the Shoah. This agreement will be signed by the Government, represented by the Prime Minister, Minister of State, Xavier Bettel, the Minister of Finance, Pierre Gramegna, on the one hand, and the Jewish Consistory of Luxembourg, represented by their President Albert Aflalo, on the other hand. Dimitri Dombret, European representative of the World Jewish Restitution Organization and François Moyse, President of the Luxembourg Foundation for the Memory of the Shoah, will be co-signatories of this agreement.

The signing ceremony will take place on 27 January 2021, the anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz concentration camp.

The press conference following the agreement will be broadcast live at around 5 p.m..
